Advertise via TEXT ADS
in the LangaList Email Newsletter
Your email text ad can be seen
over times per issue
---or over times this month!
Ad Format:
Centered, plain text up to approx. 50 words; max line length=60 characters. (The
newsletter is sent as plain ASCII text for maximum compatibility with all mail
readers.)
What are the available positions?
Ads can appear in any of four possible positions comprising a
wide range of prices.
Premium Text Banner
(BEST EXPOSURE):
precedes all editorial content; one position available per issue; conceptually
similar to an "inside front cover" position in a print publication.
Top Body:
"first position" within the body of the newsletter, usually after the first
editorial item; one position available per issue; conceptually similar to "far
forward" in a print publication.
Standard Body:
placed within the body of the newsletter, after the Top Body
position and before the Bottom Body position; usually one position available per
issue; conceptually similar to "run of book" in print advertising.
Bottom Body
(LOWEST PRICE): last item before the "fine
print" at the bottom of the newsletter; one position available per issue;
conceptually similar to "back of book" in print advertising.
Free Upgrade Policy: Prepaid
ads will be automatically upgraded to the next-higher ad position at no
additional charge, if that position is available. For example, if you buy and
prepay a "standard body" ad, but no "top body" ad is scheduled to run in that
issue, your ad will be upgraded to the top body position at no additional charge
to you! Or, if you buy and prepay a "bottom body" ad, but no "standard body" ad
is scheduled to run in that issue, your ad will be upgraded to the standard body
position at no additional charge to you!
Extraordinary Mailing Performance: Because we require
two separate email confirmations from prospective subscribers before they are
ever added to the mailing list, and because we purge bad or "bouncing" addresses ruthlessly and
regularly (so they do not accumulate from issue to issue), our subscriber list
is extraordinarily clean. Usually, there are literally less than
0.01% bad addresses discovered in each mailing (and they are swiftly purged from
our rolls). The result is an extraordinarily clean mailing list, and helps
ensure you get the mailing volume you pay for! Plus, the cleanness
and up-to-date nature of the list means that all readers are active, current,
and involved!
Restrictions: No
sexually-oriented products or services. Newsletter publisher reserves the right
to reject ads he deems unsuitable for the audience.
Payment: All figures are in US$; payment accepted via
PayPal (to: Fred@Langa.Com) cash, check, bank draft, or money order (to:
Langa Consulting LLC, 617 First NH Turnpike, Northwood NH 03261,
USA); by guaranteed
secure online credit card transaction, or by credit card
transaction by telephone. All non-prepaid ad balances due within 30 days of first
insertion date. Balances unpaid after 30 days incur late fees equivalent to 18%
APR.

*CPM = "cost per thousand;" the cost of
reaching 1,000 readers. It's a way to normalize the price differences between
large and small media: Some very small newsletters have very low ad rates, but
reach tiny audiences--- a high CPM. TV and radio have higher rates, but reach
vast audiences--- a low CPM. Knowing the CPM lets you judge the efficiency, or
"bang for the buck" of your ad dollar. The LOWER the CPM, the BETTER the deal
for you. Ideally, you want to advertise where the cost is reasonable AND the CPM
is low.

standard telephone authorization
