Brief Professional Bio: A
freelance since 1997, Fred was previously VP/Editorial Director of
WINDOWS Magazine and CMP's PC Group. Fred was hired by CMP in 1991 to
relaunch WINDOWS Magazine as CMP's first large-circulation, newsstand, paid
subscription magazine: Eventually, as VP/Editorial Director, he oversaw the
editorial operations of WINDOWS Magazine, Home PC Magazine, and
NetGuide Magazine.
Prior to joining CMP, Fred was Editor-in-Chief of Byte Magazine
for four years. He's also held a wide variety of other editorial positions in
the computer publishing industry, with over 25 years total experience.
